Website Security is a top priority for Pharmacy Sources. Transmission of sensitive, personal and financial information over the internet causes concern for many of our customers. We use every means available to maximize your privacy and security.

Pharmacy Sources does not ever store your personal information including your credit card information and address in any our databases located on our web server . We do this as a security precaution because we feel that there is no reason for the employees of Pharmacy Sources to see your personal information. It is not that we do not trust our employees, it is just an extra security measure we take to ensure your privacy. This is also an extra security precaution we take just in case that our site is hacked into, there would be no valuable information available to them.

Your personal information is transferred directly and securely to the credit card processing company. This information is only used by the credit card processing company for verification purposes. We do this for your security and to protect against fraud.

On our websites we utilize the latest in Secure Sockets Layers (SSL) Encryption Technology. This allows all sensitive information to be encrypted or scrambled before it is sent to or from our website, thereby making the information unreadable to "prying eyes".

Also, as an added security feature we require the credit cards CVV2. The CVV2, or Card Verification Value, is a number that is printed, not imprinted, on the back of your Visa or MasterCard. Visa and MasterCard card members can find their CVV2 number in the signature area of your card. Your card number or the last 4 digits of your card number should be printed here along with a three-digit number at the end. This three-digit number is your CVV2 number.

The CVV2 may seem like an annoyance but it is a security feature added to help protect consumers and merchants against the use of stolen credit cards online. The CVV2 is never transferred during card swipes and should only be known by the cardholder, the person holding the card in their hand. The idea being that the online user must have the card in their hand to have access to the CVV2, so the person making the online purchase must have the card and not just the card number. We have implemented the requirement of the CVV2 as an additional security measure to protect our customers from fraudulent use of their credit card. Minimizing fraudulent credit card charges will enable us to keep our price as low as possible.
